Job summary

The role at SESLHD's Infectious Diseases Team at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, focuses on surveillance and control of communicable diseases. You will advise health professionals and childcare centres on infectious disease issues and support public health initiatives.

Current RN registration with AHPRA is required; experience in communicable diseases, strong history-taking and writing skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated experience working in communicable diseases, infection control or related public health area.
• Demonstrable extensive experience and skill in history-taking and interviewing.
• Demonstrated good writing skills, with ability to vary writing styles for different audiences.
• Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills, with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Able to demonstrate skills in word processing and use of databases.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Infectious Diseases Team in surveillance and control of communicable diseases in SESLHD.
• Provide advice, information, support and guidance to health professionals, institutions and childcare centres on communicable disease issues.
