Job summary

St John of God Subiaco Hospital in Subiaco, WA, is seeking a Part-time Clinical Nurse Infection Control to support the Manager Infection Prevention & Control in coordinating a hospital-wide IP&C program and ensure high standards of patient care and caregiver safety.

You will provide clinical expertise, lead IP&C initiatives, assist with immunisation screening, manage occupational exposure, and contribute to audits and compliance with national safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current immunisation status and understanding of hospital infection control.
• Post graduate qualifications in Infection Prevention desirable.
• Hand Hygiene Auditor accreditation advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement hospital-wide IP&C program and provide resource support.
• Improve standards, develop solutions and deliver outcomes aligned with targets.
• Provide clinical leadership to areas on IP&C matters and negotiate care.
• Assist with caregiver vaccination and records maintenance.
• Assist in managing occupational exposures and IP&C audits.
• Contribute to annual immunisation update and safety standards compliance.
