Job summary

Smoke Control Systems in Cumberland, NSW, seeks an experienced industrial sewing machinist to join a busy factory where quality products are in high demand. You will operate industrial sewing machines and cut and assemble fabric to specifications for commercial and residential buildings.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture curtains and fabric products.

• Ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work area.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of sewing equipment.

Working as an industrial sewing machinist in our company means being part of a team, where the customers needs are a focus. In this role you will have to work in a busy factory where our quality products are in high demand.

Working Hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm (Monday to Friday) with overtime available

Role Responsibilities

• Operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture specialised curtains and fabric products for commercial and residential buildings
• Sewing, cutting and assembling materials to required specifications
• Reading and following measurements, drawings and work instructions
• Ensuring finished products meet quality and workmanship standards
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of sewing equipment
• Working efficiently to meet production deadlines
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
