Job summary

Thales Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Planner to join the Above Water Systems team in Garden Island, Australia. The role focuses on driving supplier performance, managing procurement activities, and optimising supply chain solutions to deliver value and meet project milestones.

You will coordinate with subcontractors and internal stakeholders, oversee cost and schedule control, and contribute to continuous improvement across procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, mechanical or structural disciplines is valued.
• Experience in procurement and supplier management is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities are essential.
• Ability to analyse costs and deliver effective supply chain solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across business levels is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier and subcontractor engagement to support project delivery.
• Lead end-to-end RFP activities including supplier selection and planning.
• Oversee supplier strategies across electrical, mechanical or structural categories.
• Allocate work packages to maximise value and maintain supplier capability.
• Monitor labour and material costs to keep budgets and schedules on track.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews and build strong supplier relationships.
