Job summary

Force by Emeco is seeking a Paint & Blast Trade Assistant for their Mackay workshop. The role involves abrasive blasting, protective coating, and heavy equipment painting in a full-time permanent position, with a strong emphasis on safety compliance and quality control.

You will carry out repairs, prepare equipment for servicing, apply two-part coatings, and ensure work meets the safety plan. Prior experience and relevant certificates are valued for this hands-on trade role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated prior experience with Industrial Painting & Blasting.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and their importance.
• Current Working at Heights Certificate and High Risk Forklift licence highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Paint and Blast repairs and upgrade improvements to the Rental equipment fleet.
• Prepare earth moving equipment for repairs.
• Apply two pack systems to structural steel and machinery.
• Blast, prime and paint within job specifications.
• General housekeeping and yard clean up as required.
• Ensure that all works completed are in line with our safety plan.
• Monitor quality of all work performed.
