Job summary

Henkel Adhesives is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for the Kilsyth facility in Kilsyth, Melbourne, VIC. You will troubleshoot faults, perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, and support automation improvements across plant equipment and infrastructure.

The role requires an unrestricted electrical licence, at least 2 years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, and PLC/automation knowledge (Siemens preferred).

Qualifications

• Unrestricted electrical licence.
• Minimum 2 years' electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, FMCG or chemicals.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• PLC and automation experience, preferably Siemens.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and carry out preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance to ensure safe operation of plant equipment, buildings and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose equipment performance issues to minimise downtime.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, control panels, sensors, drives, actuators and other industrial electrical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and associated control systems.
• Support engineering and capital projects, including design, fabrication, installation and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers, ensuring work meets site safety requirements and standards.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety procedures including permits to work, LOTO, working at heights and hot work.
• Analyse maintenance data to identify cost-saving and reliability-improvement opportunities.
