Job summary

Sharp & Carter seeks an experienced facilities leader to oversee a major distribution centre in northern Adelaide. You will manage site infrastructure, maintenance programs and service providers to maximise reliability and efficiency.

This role requires strong budgeting, contractor management and safety compliance, with a proactive, collaborative leadership style and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in Facilities Management or a comparable leadership role.
• Background in industrial facilities, distribution centres/manufacturing or complex commercial environments.
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams, contractors and specialist service providers.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L management and expenditure control.
• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance, building services and operationally critical infrastructure.
• Strong safety, compliance and contractor management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused leadership approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across critical site infrastructure and building services.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance personnel, external contractors and specialist service providers.
• Manage site budgets, maintenance expenditure and financial planning.
• Drive asset reliability, minimise downtime and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Ensure contractor compliance, safe working practices and risk management procedures are maintained.
• Coordinate responses to critical breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Build strong relationships with site leadership and operational stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for capital improvements, cost efficiencies and improved maintenance practices.
