Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Specialist at the Wacol site to maintain, service and repair production equipment across saws, presses, conveyors and automation systems. You will contribute to safety, reliability and smooth production.

You’ll plan preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support equipment installation and improvements. A mechanical or electrical trade qualification and hands-on maintenance experience are essential, with a mindset for continuous improvement and

Qualifications

• Trade qualification required (mechanical or electrical)
• Hands-on industrial equipment maintenance experience
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
• Experience with PLC-controlled or automated equipment is valued
• Current driver’s licence

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete preventive maintenance, inspections and servicing
• Respond to breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation faults
• Prioritise repairs to safely return critical equipment to operation
• Identify ageing or worn components before they fail
• Support installation, relocation, commissioning and setup of machinery
• Recommend improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency and life
• Coordinate with manufacturers, technicians and suppliers for specialist support
• Manage critical spare parts and maintenance consumables
• Maintain clear maintenance records and servicing schedules
• Share equipment knowledge with operators and support safe use
• Provide technical support to other Frame & Truss sites when required
