Job summary

InfraBuild in Geelong is seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to deliver high-quality maintenance across our wire mill operations. You will focus on equipment reliability, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement in a heavy industrial environment.

You will bring an A Grade Electrical Licence, Cert III in Electrotechnology, and hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs, ABB drives, and motor systems. SAP knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• A Grade Electrical Licence is essential for safe oversight of site-based electrical work.
• Experience with Siemens PLCs, ABB drives and AC/DC motor systems.
• Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting across industrial electrical/control systems.
• Exposure to instrumentation, automation, or control systems; Cert IV is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation and control faults efficiently.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise fixed plant performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
