Job summary

Porta is seeking an Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance team at Charmhaven on the Central Coast of NSW. You will plan, coordinate and complete process improvement and installation projects while providing ongoing breakdown support.

To succeed you must be a qualified electrician with extensive knowledge of AS3000, reading schematics, PLC I/O, and fault-finding on industrial control systems. Safety and high workmanship standards are paramount.

Qualifications

Qualified and experienced electrician with NSW registration.
Knowledge of AS3000 and safe work practices.
Ability to read electrical schematics and PLC drawings.
Experience fault-finding industrial control systems.
Competence with three-phase systems and motor control.
Strong electrical safety and LOTO understanding.
Basic knowledge of industrial networking.
Commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical including drug testing.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and complete process improvement and installation projects.
Provide ongoing breakdown support and electrical work.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and PLC I/O drawings.
Diagnose sensors, relays and contactors and perform replacements as required.
Ensure safety compliance and high-quality workmanship on site.
