Job summary

Visy is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain and improve the reliability, safety, and performance of electrical systems at our high-speed pulp and paper plant in New South Wales.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on motors, drives, PLCs, MCCs and instrumentation, diagnose faults, and support continuous improvement. Day shift, Monday to Friday, $60ph + OT with on‑call standby as required.

Qualifications

• A Grade Electrical Licence is required.
• Experience in manufacturing environments (pulp & paper, FMCG, packaging, heavy industry).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, MCCs and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Diagnose faults on motors, drives, pumps, PLCs and control systems.
• Routine inspections and condition monitoring of plant equipment.
• Support continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise plant performance.
• Participate in breakdown response and after-hours call-out activities.
