Job summary

Vanderlande Australia is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support one of our key customer systems in the Greater Sydney area. This on-site role involves preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on high-end automated material handling solutions, with 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 roster.

You will diagnose electrical faults, ensure safety standards, and collaborate with mechanical teams to maintain system reliability.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology) and contractor/supervisor license.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Service Engineer/Technician.
• Understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc.).
• Strong electrical background with mechanical aptitude.
• Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical) is highly regarded.
• Experience in logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical maintenance inspections.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
• Assist with mechanical duties as needed.
