Job summary

Dot Design, a design-led retail activation company, seeks an experienced Industrial Designer to join the Sydney team. You will move concepts through engineering, manufacturing and retail execution across displays, POS solutions and proprietary products.

candidate should have a strong portfolio, 5+ years in industrial design, and hands-on experience with SolidWorks, KeyShot or Blender. The role drives production-ready outcomes for major brands in Australia and internationally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Industrial Design with POS or retail design experience.
• SolidWorks expertise and ability to produce production-ready designs.
• Strong sketching, ideation and visual communication skills.
• Experience rendering with KeyShot, Blender or similar tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production methods.

Responsibilities

• Generate strong design concepts across retail, POS and product design projects.
• Develop concepts into 3D models, renderings and presentation visuals for review.
• Design with manufacturing, assembly, functionality and cost efficiency in mind.
• Engineer practical design solutions using SolidWorks.
• Prepare production-ready designs, technical drawings and docs for manufacture.
• Collaborate with local and offshore manufacturers to support outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects from concept through manufacture and delivery.
• Coordinate timelines, quotes, prototyping and production requirements.
