Job summary
SamePage Personnel is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Electrician to support manufacturing clients across Melbourne. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and manage PLC-based control systems on diverse industrial equipment.
The role offers a high earning potential with a company vehicle and field-based work across northern, eastern and western suburbs. A-Grade electrical licence and PLC skills are essential.
Qualifications
- A current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence — essential.
- Minimum 3 years' relevant industrial electrical experience in manufacturing environments.
- Practical PLC experience including installation, testing and fault-finding.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across Melbourne sites.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and preventative electrical maintenance across industrial and manufacturing sites.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and getting production equipment back up and running.
- Install, test, reset and troubleshoot PLCs and associated control systems.
- Fault-finding on industrial automation equipment, electrical control circuits, motors, VSDs, sensors and instrumentation.
- Support planned shutdowns, equipment servicing, upgrades and commissioning activities.
- Assist with automation improvements and control system modifications.
