BDO Australia in Sydney seeks a Consultant to join our Indirect Tax team, advising local and global organisations on GST, stamp duty, land tax and other indirect taxes. You will work closely with Partners, Directors and Managers to deliver high-quality guidance.

The role offers exposure to complex advisory matters, plus a pathway to professional qualifications such as CA/CTA, within a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated indirect tax experience in professional services, law firm or government.
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, or Law/Business or Commerce degree.
• Strong technical ability to apply legislation and guidance in practical/commercial contexts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality advice on GST, stamp duty, payroll tax, land tax and other indirect taxes across diverse industries.
• Support clients through major transactions and projects, including M&A, restructures, due diligence, property transactions and cross-border arrangements.
• Assist in preparing Business Activity Statements, duty submissions and responses to reviews or audits.
• Build trusted client relationships through regular interaction and meeting participation.
• Contribute to a high-performing team culture focused on collaboration and excellence.
