Job summary

Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-Operative in Geelong VIC is seeking a part-time Suicide Prevention Network Coordinator to drive coordination, awareness, and early intervention across the Wathaurong catchment.

The role requires Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identification, and an emphasis on culturally centred practices within a health context. Police checks and driver licence are likely required.

Qualifications

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
• HLT40113 Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent.
• Experience delivering safe, culturally centred services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Suicide Prevention Network across the Wathaurong catchment.
• Raise awareness and support early intervention and responses for at-risk community members.
• Strengthen culturally appropriate mental health workforce within Wathaurong.
• Contribute to child-safe practices and policy understanding within the organisation.
