Job summary

University of Canberra is seeking an Indigenous Strategy Operations Coordinator to support the Office of Indigenous Leadership and Strategy (OILS). You will provide high-level executive and operational support to the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Indigenous, coordinating governance, data analysis and reporting to advance the University's Indigenous Strategy priorities.

The role focuses on collaboration, cultural awareness and delivering meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Qualifications

  • Experience providing high-level EA, administration, project or governance support.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience preparing high-quality reports, briefings and correspondence.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Resilience and versatility to navigate change and challenges.
  • A demonstrated ability of working effectively for and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
  • The ability to apply cultural humility in all aspects of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive assistant and operational support to the PVCI.
  • Coordinate day-to-day administrative, operational and leadership support activities.
  • Coordinate governance activities, including agendas, meeting papers, minutes and reporting.
  • Collect, analyse and interpret data to measure and monitor progress against Indigenous strategic initiatives, key deliverables and performance outcomes.
  • Prepare reports, briefing papers, presentations and other materials.
  • Stakeholder management and engagement activities coordination.
  • Ensure Indigenous cultural protocols are understood, respected and embedded across engagement activities, events and communications.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, integrity and discretion.
