Job summary

Monash University on the Clayton campus is seeking a dedicated administrator to support engineering research activities. The role focuses on facilitating research funding opportunities and managing the submission of proposals, while ensuring adherence to research policies across the faculty.

The appointee will coordinate with the Research Services Manager and Associate Dean Indigenous to deliver integrated administrative support for research staff and governance across the Faculty of Engineering.

Qualifications

• A degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or
• extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
• an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

Responsibilities

• Provide an integrated administrative service for research staff on research matters across the Faculty of Engineering aligned with faculty research strategy.
• Assist in identifying funding opportunities, and prepare and submit research and other funding proposals.
• Ensure staff comply with research-related policies and that relevant procedures are communicated across the Faculty.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Research Services Manager and working closely with the Associate Dean Indigenous the focus of this role will be to provide an integrated administrative service for research staff on research matters across the Faculty of Engineering aligned with faculty research strategy

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for supporting the identification of funding opportunities, and the preparation and submission of research and other funding proposals.

The position helps to ensure that staff comply with research-related policies, relevant procedures are in place and are communicated across the Faculty.
