Job summary

Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation (LNAC) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the Outreach Programs, including Day Patrol, Night Patrol, Return to Country and HEAL. You will ensure culturally safe, responsive and high-quality services are delivered in line with contractual obligations and LNAC priorities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in program management with financial oversight.
  • Proven leadership and staff management experience.
  • Experience managing multiple teams to achieve objectives.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Aboriginal people.
  • Understanding of issues affecting Darwin’s homeless Aboriginal people.
  • Qualifications and/or proven experience in Public Health, Environmental Health, Social Work or similar.
  • Strong cross-cultural, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience using information technologies and applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Current NT Driver’s Licence (C Class minimum) – manual driving; Working with Children Check and Police check within 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational management of LNAC’s Outreach Programs (DPNP, RTC, HEAL).
  • Direct day-to-day performance of the DPNP, RTC and HEAL Programs with clear guidance to coordinators and frontline staff.
  • Ensure contractual obligations, service targets, and data reporting requirements are met.
  • Manage program budgets and expenditures within grant conditions.
  • Lead staff through workforce planning, supervision, and professional development.
  • Develop staff capability through mentoring and training.
  • Maintain culturally safe, client-focused service delivery with effective client engagement and record keeping.
  • Build strong relationships with government agencies, Aboriginal organisations, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify community needs and contribute to funding submissions and proposals.
  • Oversee assets, vehicles, equipment, and facilities per LNAC policies.
  • Maintain risk, incident and Work Health & Safety management processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in collaboration with LNAC leadership.
