The University of Melbourne invites applications for an academic position within the Indigenous Law and Justice Hub at Melbourne Law School. The role focuses on teaching, research, engagement and leadership in Indigenous law, with commensurate level based on qualifications and experience.

You will deliver teaching across the JD, Melbourne Law Masters and undergraduate programs, supervise students, pursue high-quality research, and contribute to community partnerships within the Hub and the Law

Qualifications

• Teaching experience in law and commitment to high-quality legal education and student outcomes.
• Developing, established or internationally recognized record of legal research and publication.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum and subject development, especially relating to Indigenous law.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Melbourne Juris Doctor, Melbourne Law Masters and undergraduate Breadth programs.
• Contribute to curriculum and subject development, particularly on Indigenous law.
• Supervise coursework and higher degree research students as appropriate.
• Undertake high-quality legal research and publish in leading outlets.
• Contribute to research projects, grant activity and knowledge exchange.
• Support an engaging, inclusive and high-quality student learning experience.
• Build relationships and partnerships through the Indigenous Law and Justice Hub.
