Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a National Indigenous Immunisation Research Fellow based at Westmead. The role involves collaborating with national and state stakeholders to enhance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander immunisation uptake, drawing on epidemiological evidence to inform policy and program delivery.

The position is identified for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people and requires engaging with community partners to drive culturally appropriate immunisation initiatives within the NCIRS

Qualifications

• The role draws on epidemiological evidence — including the analysis and interpretation of immunisation coverage, uptake and vaccine-preventable disease data.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the NCIRS National Indigenous Immunisation Lead and National Indigenous Engagement Officer.
• Consult with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector and stakeholders to increase immunisation uptake.
• Analyze immunisation data to inform vaccination policy development and program delivery.
• Contribute to the management and development of the NCIRS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Immunisation Leadership Committee.
