Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District seeks an Aboriginal Health Promotion Manager to lead a small team delivering culturally informed health programs across the district. You will drive planning, implementation and evaluation of initiatives aligned with Closing the Gap priorities while embedding Aboriginal perspectives in strategy and practice.

You will foster a culturally safe workplace and collaborate with Aboriginal communities and organisations to strengthen health outcomes and equity

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in health promotion.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team delivering culturally responsive programs.
• Strong partnership and communication skills with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders.
• Strategic health promotion experience including planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small Aboriginal Health Promotion Team to deliver culturally responsive programs across south west Sydney.
• Plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based health promotion initiatives aligned with Closing the Gap priorities.
• Inform strategic planning, service development, advocacy and policy with Aboriginal perspectives.
• Collaborate with Aboriginal communities, services and organisations to strengthen partnerships and health outcomes.
