Job summary

Indigenous Wellbeing Centre (IWC) invites applications for a Full-time Indigenous Health Practitioner to deliver culturally safe primary health care within the Medical Centre.

The role requires Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Care, AHPRA registration, a current CPR, a valid driver’s licence, and a commitment to serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Salary packaging and leave benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working in a Primary Health care setting.
• Ability to deliver culturally safe, respectful, and client-centered care.
• Experience in maintaining accurate client records and using clinical systems (or willingness to learn).
• Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and professional development.
• A genuine passion for improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities

• Deliver culturally safe, respectful, and holistic health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, families, and the community.
• Support clients across their health journey, including health assessments, screening, treatment support, and follow-up care.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including GPs, nurses, allied health, and support staff.
