Job summary

Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service Aboriginal Corporation in Western Australia seeks a Transport Driver (50D Identified position) to provide safe client transport and operate vehicles per policy.

The successful candidate must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, with driving experience, strong communication, and knowledge of Perth metro areas. The role includes data entry, liaison with clinic staff, and OH&S adherence.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status is mandatory.
• Experience operating a motor vehicle.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients of the service.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Perth metropolitan areas and major roads.

Responsibilities

• Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with policy and transport clients to appointments.
• Ensure client safety using seatbelts and appropriate restraints.
• Provide daily feedback to clinic staff and process transport paperwork.
• Liaise with reception staff to coordinate transport needs.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance as required.
• Complete all transport-related documentation and reports.
