Job summary

The NSW Department of Communities and Justice invites applications for an Aboriginal Client and Community Support Officer in Mount Druitt. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide culturally responsive advocacy, referrals and practical assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients as they navigate the justice system.

You will build partnerships with communities and service providers, maintain records and contribute to culturally safe initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Ability to navigate the justice system and refer to culturally safe services.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advocacy, referrals and practical assistance.
