Western Sydney University invites applications for the Ignite Indigenous Traineeship Program. The Business Administration Trainee role offers hands‑on administration experience while undertaking a 12‑month VET in Business, with a Certificate III in Business (Administration) to be completed.

Ten full‑time, fixed‑term positions commencing in 2027 are available across multiple campuses (Parramatta, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Kingswood, etc.).

Qualifications

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Person.
• Year 9 schooling or equivalent.
• Interest in general business administration duties.
• Willingness to enrol and complete a Certificate III in Business (Administration) traineeship for 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Complete a Certificate III in Business through a 12‑month traineeship.
• Provide service/administrative support to workplace supervisor and unit.
• Maintain records and filing systems.
• Use computerised information systems and related technologies.
• Prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with supervisor and colleagues.
• Develop professional workplace relations with stakeholders.
