Job summary

Wiluna Remote Community School is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to work independently, opening and locking the school, setting the security alarm, and maintaining the cleaners time-book while ensuring daily cleanliness across indoor and outdoor areas. The role requires reliability and thorough cleaning, with adherence to Department procedures and the ability to report issues and liaise with the Manager Corporate Services.

Training is provided as part of induction for new staff.

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to work alone following school procedures.
• Cleanliness and time management skills are essential.
• Experience in school cleaning is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Open and lock the school, set the security alarm, and maintain the cleaners time-book.
• Report absences and arrange relief staff in coordination with the Manager Corporate Services.
• Conduct monthly cleaning inspections and address issues in the communications book.
• Clean allocated internal and external areas, including toilets, floors, windows and rubbish removal.
