Job summary

CBR Qld on the Fraser Coast seeks an experienced, trade-qualified Carpenter for commercial maintenance and projects in Hervey Bay, QLD. The role offers autonomy within a supportive team and requires ownership of allocated works, with a PM and Leading Hand coordinating activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Carpentry and 5+ years' post-trade experience in commercial, renovation or maintenance, plus a proactive, team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
• Ideally 5+ years' post-trade experience in commercial, renovation or maintenance.
• Proven ability to own allocated works and deliver to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commercial carpentry across renovations, upgrades, fit-outs, maintenance.
• Read and interpret scopes, plans and site information.
• Identify materials and plan procurement; office handles larger orders.
• Plan daily work to keep projects on schedule.
• Communicate early on risks affecting time, cost or safety.
• Use trade knowledge to solve issues in older buildings.
• Work safely in live environments including schools and housing.
• Interact professionally with clients, tenants and subcontractors.
• Record progress in the job management system with photos.
• Finish each job properly - quality check, clean, handover-ready.
