Ku-ring-gai Council invites expressions of interest for Chair of the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC). The Chair leads governance oversight, risk management and external accountability, meeting five times per year and guiding independent assurance to Council.

Applicants should demonstrate independence, senior governance experience, and the ability to engage councillors and management with clear, objective advice while upholding ethical standards.

Formación

• Independence requirements: must be independent with no real or perceived conflicts of interest.
• Eligibility includes leadership, governance understanding, risk management and internal audit knowledge.
• Extensive senior-level governance and management experience.
• Possession of a relevant professional qualification or membership (IIA, CPA Australia, CA).

Responsabilidades

• Provide independent assurance to Council on governance, risk and control frameworks.
• Monitor compliance with risk management and internal audit guidelines.
• Attend meetings and contribute time to review information.
• Maintain effective working relationships with the Council.
