Job summary

The Inclusive Education Teacher at Albert Park Flexible School is a member of the teaching team and provides specialist support to ensure learning needs of identified Young People are effectively supported across the Flexible School.

You will plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning programs, create flexible curricula, develop PLPs, and collaborate with families, staff and community to create a trauma-informed, inclusive learning environment that reflects the Edmund Rice Charter values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (Primary or Secondary) and valid teaching registration.
• Current First Aid certificate.
• Current Driver's License.
• Demonstrated at least three years of teaching experience.
• Experience developing PLPs and innovative curriculum.
• Strong understanding of inclusive education and trauma-informed learning.
• Ability to collaborate with families and staff to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Planning, preparation and delivery of engaging learning programs for middle and secondary students.
• Create flexible, innovative curriculum to engage learners.
• Plan and implement learning programs meeting legislative requirements for diverse needs.
• Contribute to EREAFSL objectives and planning.
• Collaborate with staff to provide a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Apply the EREAFSL Flexi Practice Framework to support engagement and learning outcomes.
• Build relationships with Young People, families/carers, and the community.
