Inbound Team Leader – 3PL Warehousing

Job summary

CRL Express Pty is seeking an experienced Inbound Team Leader to own the day-to-day 3PL inbound operation. You’ll lead the shift on the floor, allocate tasks, coach the team and coordinate inbound deliveries to keep freight moving safely and accurately.

Based in Victoria, this on-site role involves supervising the inbound team, managing setup, stock accuracy and DG compliance, while using CartonCloud WMS to record transactions and support continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in logistics.
• 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with inbound receiving, put-away and inventory control in a warehouse/3PL.
• Current forklift licence.
• Dangerous Goods Awareness Training.
• Experience using CartonCloud WMS.
• Knowledge of WHS/HSE, Dangerous Goods, Load Restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Strong communication skills with employees, drivers and customers.
• Ability to coach, delegate and hold people accountable.
• Stable leadership when priorities shift and the warehouse is busy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the inbound warehouse team across the shift.

• Record movements and transactions in CartonCloud WMS.
• Support cycle counts, location audits and stock accuracy.
• Maintain WHS, Dangerous Goods and Chain of Responsibility standards.
• Unload, receive and put away freight when needed.

If you're an experienced warehouse leader who likes being on the floor, amongst the action and leading from the front, this could be the role for you.

CRL Express is looking for an experienced Inbound Team Leader to take ownership of our day-to-day 3PL inbound operation. You'll lead the team through the shift, keep freight moving safely and accurately, solve problems as they happen, and make sure the operation delivers against customer expectations.

This isn't a "sit in the office and send emails" leadership role. You'll be allocating the work, running pre-starts, coaching your team, coordinating inbound deliveries and stepping onto the floor when the workload calls for it.

What you'll be doing

You’ll take the lead across the inbound shift, including:

• Leading, motivating and supporting the inbound warehouse team
• Allocating daily tasks, equipment and resources
• Running pre-start meetings and ensuring effective shift handovers
• Coordinating inbound trucks and containers
• Making sure freight is unloaded, checked, receipted, labelled and put away correctly and on time
• Checking freight documentation, including Dangerous Goods declarations and labelling
• Coaching team members and addressing performance issues early
• Working closely with Stock Control and Customer Service to resolve discrepancies
• Ensuring movements and transactions are accurately recorded in CartonCloud WMS
• Supporting cycle counts, location audits and stock accuracy
• Maintaining strong WHS, Dangerous Goods and Chain of Responsibility standards
• Jumping in to unload, receive and put away freight when the operation needs an extra set of hands.

What we're looking for

We don't just need someone who knows warehouses. We need someone who knows how to lead people in one.

You’ll ideally bring:

• 5+ years' experience in logistics
• 3+ years' experience in a supervisory role
• Strong experience with inbound receiving, put-away and inventory control within a warehouse or 3PL environment
• A current forklift licence
• Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
• Experience using a WMS, with CartonCloud experience highly regarded
• Knowledge of WHS/HSE, Dangerous Goods, Load Restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with employees, drivers, contractors, customers and other operational teams
• The ability to coach, delegate and hold people accountable
• A level head when priorities change and the warehouse gets busy.
