Job summary

Ozcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable casual In Home Support Worker to join our Rockhampton Aged Care at Home team. This role provides practical assistance and social support to older clients in their own homes, aligned with individual care plans, to promote independence and wellbeing.

Key duties include domestic tasks, shopping assistance, and documenting care activities, with emphasis on high-quality, person-centred care. A varied roster and ongoing training support are offered.

Qualifications

• A caring, patient and respectful approach to supporting older people.
• Previous experience in home support, community care, aged care, disability support or a similar role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
• A positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to work across a varied roster.
• Availability to work across 5–7 days will be highly regarded.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current National Police Check (valid within the past 3 years) or a willingness to obtain one
• Current First Aid and CPR Certifications
• Current 'Open' Queensland Driver Licence
• A reliable, roadworthy vehicle with current registration and comprehensive vehicle insurance certificate
• Adept using mobile devices and basic computer applications
• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, MMR, Whooping Cough & Chicken Pox
