Job summary

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service recruiting a Registered Nurse for the Rapid Response Falls Service in the Adult Community Health program. The role focuses on in-home assessments, coordination and links to local services to reduce fall risk and hospital conveyance.

The position supports multidisciplinary care planning and intervention for older adults in Cairns region, with emphasis on prevention, patient safety and timely clinical handover.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current registration and appropriate compliance.
• Experience in in-home care or community health settings is desirable.
• Ability to perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor deteriorations.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive in-home nursing assessments, clinical observations and deterioration management.
• Falls risk assessment and prevention.
• Wound, skin integrity and clinical device care.
