Job summary

BlueCare in Atherton and surrounding areas is seeking a Personal Carer to deliver in-home community care, supporting independence and quality of life. The role involves visiting clients, assisting with daily living activities, meal prep, housekeeping and transport to appointments.

Applicants must have a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, a current Australian driver’s licence, and a roadworthy vehicle. Training on our care plans and compliance will be provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent is essential.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential.
• Vehicle with roadworthy and third-party property insurance is essential.
• Experience with smartphones, tablets, or laptops is preferred.
• Willingness to undergo probity checks required by legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance.
• Assist clients with showering, meal prep, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Support clients according to their individual Care Plan.
• Offer social and recreational activities to promote wellbeing.
• Provide transportation and attend appointments/shopping with clients.
