LG Services and Supports in Victoria is seeking a compassionate Home Care Support Worker to provide in-home aged and disability support across permanent shifts. You will deliver personal care, mobility assistance, and companionship within clients' own homes.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Demonstrated experience in aged care, disability support, or related community services.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with empathy.
• Reliability and flexibility to work across various shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks and assist with mobility.
• Commitment to person-centred care and supporting client independence.
• Problem-solving skills for challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care assistance, including activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assisting with meal preparation, shopping, and light housekeeping duties.
• Supporting mobility and safe movement around the home.
• Accompanying clients to medical appointments and community outings.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in health or care needs to management.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided and client interactions.
• Building positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families.
• Upholding client dignity, privacy and rights at all times.
• Adhering to health and safety protocols, including infection control and manual handling.
• Collaborating with the wider care team to deliver coordinated support.
