Job summary

Australian Unity (North) is seeking caring Support Workers to deliver in-home Personal Care and household assistance for aged-care clients in the local area. The role is permanent part-time with an hourly rate of $31.38 and 11% super, plus travel allowances.

You will travel between clients with time allowances and work rosters between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday. A valid driver license and vehicle are essential, as is a Certificate III in IS or 12 months’ care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable insured vehicle.
• Certificate III in Individual Support or 12 months experience in Personal Care/Aged Care.
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (2 doses).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, and meal prompts.
• Assist with home care tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and dressing.
• Transport clients to appointments, shopping and social activities.
• Support client awareness and wellbeing through social interaction and observation.
