Job summary

Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network is recruiting a Casual Registered Nurse (RN2-8/CNS2) to support our Drug & Alcohol services. The role focuses on assessing and managing intoxication/withdrawal, OST in custody, and the SUP program, with opportunities for harm minimisation education and release planning.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & management of intoxication and withdrawal states.
• Assessment & management of patients requesting to commence on an Opioid Substitution Treatment (OST) program or maintained on OST in custody.
• Substance Use and Pregnancy (SUP) program.
• Brief interventions including harm minimisation strategies and health education initiatives.
• Release care planning.
