Job summary

The Salvation Army seeks a Registered Nurse to provide specialised withdrawal management services in a 24/7 detox setting in Surry Hills, NSW. You will perform clinical assessments, manage medications, and support participants’ physical and mental health throughout withdrawal, working with a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have a nursing degree, AHPRA registration, and experience in AOD and mental health care.

Qualifications

• Nursing qualification and current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in alcohol/other drugs clinical settings preferred.
• Experience supporting people with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and withdrawal management.
• Medication management and administration for detox patients.
• Coordinate with VMOs and addiction medicine services.
• Complete admission/discharge processes and handovers with accurate documentation.
• Develop individualized care plans and discharge planning for continuity of care.
