Job summary

Veritas House Inc. is a vibrant not-for-profit organisation delivering NSW Child Protection‑led Permanency Support programs. The Case Worker will manage complex cases, collaborate with DCJ and carers, and support young people toward lasting permanency and stability.

The role requires a Diploma level qualification, experience in out-of-home care or youth services, and strong planning and documentation skills, with a commitment to child safety and family‑centred practice.

Qualifications

• Diploma level qualification or higher in relevant field.
• Experience in child protection, out-of-home care or youth services.
• Strong knowledge of NSW Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 and NSW Child Safe Standards.
• Excellent case planning, documentation and time management skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with children, young people, carers and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality case management to children and young people in Foster Care and Supported Independent Living.
• Develop and implement case plans that promote safety, stability and positive life outcomes.
• Support young people to build independent living skills, manage tenancies, and access education, training and employment opportunities.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, young people, Foster Carers, and families.
• Collaborate with service providers and government agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child or young person.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with PSP and NSW Child Protection standards.
