Job summary

ACSO is seeking a dedicated Forensic Case Worker to deliver pre-release and post-release support at Lockyer Valley Correctional Centre in Gatton. You will work intensively with prisons and courts to help clients reintegrate into the community, including record keeping and outreach to at-risk individuals.

The role requires a Diploma-level qualification and strong communication, facilitation, and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma level qualification in an area relevant to the program being overseen (Social Work, Justice, Psychology, Community Services and/or Welfare Studies).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Competence in using PC-based office applications (Microsoft Office) and internet.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-release support to allocated clients in collaboration with prisons, courts and community corrections.
• Record keeping, data entry and case noting; provide assertive outreach to at-risk cohorts.
• Deliver psychosocial group sessions to male clients in custodial settings.
