Job summary

Clarendon Children's Centre is a not-for-profit, community-managed centre in South Melbourne, delivering high-quality early childhood education and care in a friendly, well-resourced environment. The educator team is diverse and supported with regular non-contact time and professional development opportunities.

We seek passionate Educators to join in 2027 on a full-time basis (9-day fortnight with an RDO) or part-time (4 days/week).

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care required.
• Knowledge of National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards.
• Familiarity with EYLF and VEYLDF is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Promote aims, philosophy and policies of the centre.
• Work in accordance with National Quality Frameworks.
• Understand Child Safe Standards, Mandatory Reporting and Duty of Care.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a flexible, supportive team.
• Engage with children in all curriculum aspects to support learning.
• Provide a safe indoor and outdoor environment.
• Set up learning experiences that are inviting, engaging and age-appropriate.
• Maintain records of children's development and progress where applicable.
• Communicate with families about learning needs and progress.
