Job summary

Bayside Council is seeking a passionate early education and care professional to deliver high-quality programs for children aged 0–5 at Hillsdale Early Education and Care. The role requires applying the National Quality Framework and inclusive practices in a responsive, supportive environment.

The position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary from AUD 59,481 to 66,619 per year plus a retention allowance and superannuation.

Qualifications

• Approved Certificate III level education and care qualification.
• Current First Aid Certificate relevant to the role.
• Working with Children Check (NSW).
• Foundational Child Safe Certificate.
• Advanced Child Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support inclusive practice to ensure the service can support families from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Provide physical care of children and respond to their emotional needs to build trust and positive relationships.
• Develop, plan and implement a quality educational program reflecting the National Learning Framework with families and the Educational Leader/Director.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of children and families to meet regulatory requirements.
• Undertaking mandatory reporting to adhere to Child Protection guidelines and responsibilities.
• Ensure knowledge of relevant legislation and National Quality Framework throughout operations.
