Job summary

The NSW Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network seeks a qualified Registered Nurse (AHPRA) for the Cooma Correctional Centre. The role requires at least one year of nursing experience and involves screening and health assessments of individuals in custody.

This is a targeted Aboriginal position with preference for Aboriginal descent. Remuneration is $43.46–$57.88 per hour plus superannuation, with various employment types and training opportunities in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Willing to work in a corrections setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform reception screening and comprehensive health assessments for detainees.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to address healthcare needs.
