Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking an Engineer Civil Asset Maintenance to help maintain and improve roads, drainage assets, road reserves and public spaces across the city. You will work with experienced Engineers and supervise contractors and staff to deliver maintenance and renewal projects.

The role offers a secure, permanent, full-time position with an entry level salary commencing at $2,257.27 per week, a leaseback vehicle and flextime.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections of civil assets and inspect works in progress.
• Assess civil applications and prepare cost estimates for maintenance and renewal projects.
• Coordinate works programs and monitor project quality.
• Manage contracts and respond to customer and Councillor enquiries.
• Liaise with public authorities and investigate technical issues as they arise.
• Prepare reports and ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with standards.
