Job summary

Department of Education in Victoria seeks an experienced allied health clinician and leader to join as the Student Support Services (SSS) Team Leader. The role will lead a multidisciplinary area health and wellbeing team and oversee psychologists, speech pathologists and social workers.

The position is fixed-term part-time (0.4 FTE) based at Greensborough Regional Office, with responsibilities including staff leadership, collaboration with schools, and coordination of responses to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Ability to support schools in student wellbeing.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a local team of SSS employees to assist schools in student learning and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with schools to develop and coordinate universal services addressing wellbeing early.
• Coordinate with the Area team to implement evidence-based multidisciplinary approaches.
• Provide professional leadership and supervision for staff development.
• Advise management and school leaders on strategies to improve outcomes for students with additional needs.
• Engage with community services, hospitals and other professionals for student support needs.
• Manage a small caseload of complex cases to support Education State targets.
• Work with SEILs to target service delivery and additional support.
