Job summary

Wan & Co Lawyers, a specialist immigration law firm in Sydney CBD, seeks an Immigration Lawyer with 2-4 PQE to work directly with the Principal Accredited Specialist. You will handle complex cases, receive mentorship, and contribute to a paperless practice in a collaborative environment.

The role focuses on merits review, visa refusals and cancellations, and other challenging immigration matters with significant responsibility and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years post-qualification experience in immigration law.
• Bachelor of Law degree (or higher).
• Admitted to NSW Supreme Court and holds a current practising certificate.
• Fluency in a language other than English (e.g., Chinese) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and draft documentation across immigration matters.
• Meet with clients to assess visa requirements and advise on pathways.
• Build cases for ART, Federal Circuit and Family Court with evidence and research.
• Appear before courts and tribunals on immigration matters.
• Prepare visa applications and legal submissions for various visa categories.
• Analyze relevant legislation and supporting materials.
