Placements24 is seeking a talented Sound Designer to join the production team in Queenstown. You will create and implement sound effects, music, and dialogue to enhance the audio experience across films, games, and interactive media.

The role requires strong audio engineering knowledge, acoustics understanding, and the ability to craft immersive landscapes that elevate viewer and player experiences through collaboration with production and creative teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sound Designer or Audio Engineer with a strong portfolio of audio work.
• Proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Cubase.
• Strong understanding of audio principles, acoustics, and mixing techniques.
• Experience with sound recording, editing, and Foley is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, record, edit, and mix sound effects to create realistic or fantastical audio elements.
• Source and implement music and sound cues to complement the visual narrative and emotional tone of projects.
• Mix dialogue, sound effects, and music to create a balanced and immersive final audio track.
• Collaborate with directors, editors, and other creatives to achieve the desired soundscape.
• Ensure all audio elements meet technical specifications and quality standards for final delivery.
• Maintain an organized library of sound assets and project files.
