Job summary

IKEA Bistro Co-worker in Queensland, Logan City is needed to provide friendly service, prepare and serve food and beverages, and ensure a welcoming Bistro environment. You will handle transactions, restock, and support a smooth customer flow during peak periods.

Role requires teamwork, adherence to HACCP rules, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Rotating shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

  • Maintain a clean, organized Bistro area and equipment.
  • Adhere to IKEA Food operational routines and food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to keep the Bistro running effectively.

Additional information:

  • These roles are permanent, part-time 30 & 40 hours fortnight.
  • The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker
  • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of hours that may include mornings, afternoons and evenings.
  • You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area

As an IKEA Bistro Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing friendly and efficient customer service while preparing and serving food and beverages.
  • Ensuring products are readily available by preparing, replenishing and presenting food throughout the day.
  • Handling customer transactions and supporting an efficient Bistro experience during busy periods.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and inviting Bistro environment, including cleaning equipment and work areas.
  • Following IKEA Food operational routines and food safety requirements to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Working closely with your fellow co-workers to keep the Bistro running efficiently and create a great experience for our customers.
Who you are

As an IKEA Bistro Co-worker you are and/or have:

  • A passion for providing a great customer experience and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Comfortable preparing and serving food while interacting with customers throughout your shift.
  • Enthusiastic about working as part of a team and supporting others when things get busy.
  • Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
