Job summary

NSW Health – Nepean Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Staff Specialist in Intensive Care Medicine to join the ICU roster and contribute to patient care and teaching. The role includes clinical duties, on-call responsibilities and opportunities for research and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Registration with AHPRA or eligibility.
• Fellowship of CICM or equivalent.
• Advanced echocardiography qualification.
• Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills.
• Commitment to quality assurance and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical workload in Intensive Care Medicine as rostered by the unit.
• On-call approximately 1 in 8; manage critical events.
• Non-clinical time for administration, teaching, supervision, QA and research.
• Credentialing and privileging across Nepean Blue Mountains LHD.
• Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
