Job summary

Macquarie University Health in NSW invites applications for an ICU Registrar to contribute to assessment, management and coordination of care for critically ill patients in the ICU, under supervision of intensivists. Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognised in Australia with General Registration.
• Internship plus at least three months ICU experience.
• Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, anaesthetics or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, manage and review critically ill patients under supervision.
• Participate in daily ICU rounds, handovers and admission reviews.
• Develop patient management plans with senior staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Respond to deteriorating patients and Code Blue calls across the hospital.
• Contribute to teaching, simulation, journal clubs and research activities.
